Even though this is ridiculously late (the build was done in October ’15), it does allow me to peek in and take a look at uptime and whatnot — 50 days, solid — likely when I turned it off over the Winter Break (as I was away on vacation).
The box is also much quieter than its previous iterations, and that is quite welcome.
Right now, it doesn’t have as much storage as its predecessor, but after that RAID-tacular im/explosion, I’m a little gunshy about just dropping a large, multi-drive RAID into my “home production.” For now, 2TB is enough, and if I need to expand, I’ll do it with further two-drive RAID1 clusters until that is untenable. There’s probably room for two more such clusters in the case and enough onboard SATA to cover that.
Now, I just gotta get on with the business of getting my whole DVD collection re-ripped. I wish I had the patience to suss out Handbrake from the CLI … <shrug>
